Dreams can’t kill you
Dreams can’t kill you
But what about the faceless man
Who visits in the middle of the night
Disappearing before he can take my own face
And make me one of his own?
Dreams cannot kill you
But what about the robed woman
Standing at the edge of my bed
Waiting to take me to a gruesome land
Full of horrors previously unknown?
Dreams can’t kill you
But can you really say that again
When the shadow at the edge of the room
Creeps closer, and closer
Preying upon the fears of a child left to sleep alone?
